David Tate oppointed coach for 08/09 season | $2500 Draw Tickets To Be Returned!! Time is fast running out for you all to sell and return your $2500 tickets. This is a major fundraising event for Preston Cricket Club and your support is crucial. Please see any committee member or Brian (Boof) Flanagan and notify them of your progress. The draw is being held on November 29 at the PCC Social Club starting at 7.30pm. | The Preston Cricket Club is happy to announce the appointment of David Tate as senior playing coach for the upcoming 2008/2009 season.
David comes to Preston with a wealth of playing and coaching experience – as a junior, David played Dowling Shield with Essendon CC, represented Victoria in three Australasian U19 carnivals as well as representing Australia U19s against Pakistan.
As a senior player, David made his debut for the Essendon CC in 1981/82, where he played a total of 320 matches, including 241 1st X1 matches – he also played in two U23 premierships for the Essendon CC , captaining the second one.
David’s leadership experience includes Captain/Assistant Coach for six seasons with the Essendon CC, during which time they were finalists in four of those years, including Grand Finalists in 2000/01, coach of the Richmond CC for season 2007/08 and coach of the North West Wizards Under 18 team in the Commonwealth Bank Championships in 2007.
David was also a member of the Victorian state squad for 3 years in the 1980s and played state 2nd X1 for Victoria. He also played a season of professional cricket in England in 1987.

Boof's Fantasy Cricket Competition | Season 08/09Fantasy League has been updated to include all the latest registered players. The Fantasy League lets is split into two seasons. One will be up until the Christmas break, then one from the break until the end of the season. The $30 cost will give you an entry into both competitions. You can change your team any number of times up until the Entries close date. Entries close by: Friday, 10 October 2008
